OVERVIEW

The 1 100 hectare natural veld is home to a variety of wildlife species including zebra, giraffe, bush pigs and a wide diversification of buck species, not to mention the abundant bird life.

On your bike

The route begins in the camp site and there is a steady climb for the first 3 - 3.5 km on eroded jeep track which can become quite technical in wet weather. After the climb, the ride flattens out over the plateau and then onto a fast descent which ends at a farm gate. At this point one turns around and rides back the way you came.

One can get quite close to the game and stopping on the plateau to view the game is very rewarding.

FACILITIES:

Lodge, self-catering chalets and luxury caravan sites, each with private electricity and kitchen/bathroom units. Accommodation is situated next to a dam in the Waterberg Mountains with game freely browsing in between. Bike hire is available. Canoeing on the dam, swimming pool, game drives, putt putt, Volley ball and children’s playground

Directions to Resort:

At the tollgate take the Nylstroom turn-off, travel through Nylstroom on the Ellisras / Vaalwater road. At the Donkerpoort sign, turn left. Keep right at the fork and pass Donkerpoort Dam. Continue until you find Abba Game Lodge on your right.
