OVERVIEW Making the best use of the Waterberg topography, Lindani has established five stretches of exciting single track –approximatelyw 30kms – that will challenge the experienced and at the same time give the less experienced a rewarding ride. The design of the trails, the beautiful scenery and the sense of isolation combine to provide a great experience. Combining the single track with Jeep tracks, a ride of 60kms without repetition is possible. On your bike TOPSY TURVY – 12km: Starts at the Melkrivier in front of Motseng Lodge, wanders on a level through two amphitheatres, crosses the Melkrivier before ascending 90m in a steady climb to the top of a koppie where there are some technical stretches. It then links to a farm road for a long steady descent to the Melkrivier AS GOOD AS IT GETS – 6.6km: A 200m descent from close to the highest point on the farm all the way to the Koperspruit makes this a great downhill ride. It descends into the Hidden Valley, through a fault, past the Bush Camp and then down the final run to the Koperspruit – there is a technical stretch near the end which needs to be treated with respect. EASY RIDER – 4.3km: Effectively links As Good As It Gets and Topsy Turvy trails. Leads off a circular jeep track behind the farm office, runs along a shelf before climbing over a ridge. It then flows in a long downhill to the Melkrivier which it follows upstream to join Topsy Turvy. ROLLER COASTER RAVINE – 3km: An offshoot from As Good As It Gets, it descends 120m to the Koperspruit with a very steep short initial stretch. Thereafter a fast downhill ride the length of a kloof ending up with a wet crossing of the Koperspruit. DOWN AND OUT – 5.1km: Starts at the top of the ridge between Stone House and Motseng Lodge, runs along a shelf before descending 120m to cross the Koperspruit over Mark’s bridge – sometimes a wet crossing. After another watercourse, it has a long steady climb along the edge of the Koperfontein field – sighting of game highly likely – and ends after a short run along the ridge between two fields. Some sandy stretches. Off the bike Private secluded lodges each with own pool, hiking on Green Flag trails, game viewing, birding, canoeing on a dam, picnic sites alongside child-friendly perennial streams.
