OVERVIEW

350 Hectares of rugged, rocky terrain with koppies and some extreme riding through private game reserve. Wide variety of antelope, zebra and bird species.

Off the bike

Hiking for both novices, families and extreme. Trail route 9kms with very steep rocky routes to spectacular view points. River crossings in wet months and opportunity to see game in natural surroundings. Plenty of shaded areas for stop offs and picnics. Extreme overnight "camping" available in the depth of the reserve - bring everything except tent.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Fees apply for non staying guests. Indeminity to be signed at reception. ID tags for all walkers and bikers. R45 pp for day entry.

FACILITIES:

Self catering chalets, camping and wooden cabins. Swimming pool for staying guests, pub and grill open to the public. Gate security at night and ample parking.

BEWARE OF:

Animals, insects and reptiles found in typical reserve. No big five.

HOW TO GET THERE

Take Pretoria North route, Turn off at Polokwane N1. 2 Tolls = R50.00 in total. By pass Rustenburg turn off and see Bele Bela 87 kms. Turn off to and drive to Bela Bela. Take route to Thabazimbi aprox 140kms. Once in Thabazimbi see PickNPay and turn left onto Lephalale R510. See lodge boards "ThabaNkwe" after 5kms on left. Located only 500 meters from gate.

None in particular. Rainy season December, January. But hot!
