OVERVIEW The Route is a service road for the railway line. It goes through farms to the top of Sir Lowry's Pass.
On your bike The service road ends 3km from the top. If you are willing to cycle the 1km next to the railway line, you turn left on a single track that is part of the Historical Gantouw Pass. The tracks of the 4000 wagons that went over the pass over a period of 200 years are embedded into the rock and will be there for a very long time. It was and is not for the faint hearted. (Please note cycles must be carried over the last 200 metres as cycling here is not permitted. It would be too difficult anyway. If you want to cycle on the other side of the mountain, you need a day permit.
Off the bike There is a mini golf course which has 9 holes, a volleyball court and lake where you can try your luck at fishing
