[ OVERVIEW ]

On your bike

This circular route follows a 34km jeep track traversing the top of a rugged escarpment, crossing river beds and testing road surfaces. With at least 500 m worth of altitude difference, you can expect to be on good terms with your granny gear by the end of the ride. For the experienced mountain biker, the combination of gravel and rocky gnarl will allow a mix of speed and hard-core, technical riding and a full-suspension bicycle would be a good call.

Availability of water depends on the time of year, but it’s a good idea to take at least 2 litres of water. Rock art, fossils and antelope sightings are attractions along the route.

Off your bike

Ganora has its own private Ganora Fossil and Artifact Museum while guided tours of the woolshed on Ganora are available by arrangement. Canyon hikes, swimming in the river pools and watching black eagles are also options.
