On your bike
Ride on the existing structure of flat, dirt game-viewing roads, either around the perimeter of this 700-ha game farm or vary the route by riding the rods cutting across the property. In the winter these roads can get quite sandy. Keep to the beaten tracks because a plethora of thorns awaits your tyres. Proper off-road tyres and a puncture repair kit is required. This is a relaxed riding atmosphere, along relatively flat terrain and is therefore ideal for less experienced riders and young family members. There’s easy access to long distance rides along district dirt roads in the area for those who want distance in their legs.
Mpofu provides the opportunity to share the environment with numerous antelope species, browsing in the open acacia bushland so typical of Africa. There are no large predators, but there is a wide variety of game.
Off your bike
This reserve offers game drives, birding and walks. Off the reserve you can visit the Tropic of Capricorn that passes through Limpopo province.
