On your bike

The Slanghoek MTB Route is an easy ride with the route equally divided between tar and gravel. Start off from Slanghoek Mountain Resort and turn right onto a gravel road just after Rustfontein Farm. Then continue along this gravel track. Keep to your right and pass through a few gates before turning right again towards Goudini spa. At this mineral springs resort you turn right once more to complete the circular route back to Slanghoek. Miles and miles of riding await those brave enough to venture off the beaten track with endless gravel roads and farm tracks awaiting MTB exploration.

Breedekloof is famed for award-winning wines at affordable prices but this accessible destination offers a lot more than just a wine route. Freshwater angling and bird-watching on the Breede River, as well as mountain trekking and solo climbing in the awe-inspiring Hex River mountains make this a veritable paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. The ATKV Goudini Spa, set within stunning mountain surrounds, allows you to relax in hot, natural springs to re-energise both body and soul.
